The point of Wasapi is to send bit-perfect output to your dac without the Windows mixer or anything else messing with it, so it will not work with Equalizer APO. However, if you use a parametric EQ plugin in Foobar2000 that will work together with Wasapi. I use the EasyQ plugin (it's a generic VST plugin so you will also need the Foobar VST
You need to reset the windows audio service and reboot. Its the same with Peace EQ. Tried doing that too and nothing happened still the same. settings debugging and testing then APO's configurator then pick the audio devices you need the EQ to control.
Then go to Services (Windows app) and restart 'Windows Audio'. Voila, EqAPO will start working again. You don't have to reboot, you can just restart the Windows Audio service. You can do this through the Services app, or there is even a button there in Peace.
If the LFX/GFX setting isn't working then the convolution can be the issue. HeSuVi uses this to do its magic. Unfortunately, sometimes convolution fails. The developer of Equalize APO hasn't commented on it. If you will I can take a look at the commands file HeSuVi produces to see if your setup uses convolution. Of course you could go back to 1
Start the Configurator of Equalizer APO. 2. Click on the Bluetooth headphones in the Connector column at the left. 3. Check the Troubleshooting options checkbox. 4. Select SFX/EFX and restart your computer. If SFX/EFX isn't available then choose SFX/MFX. Both are Windows 10 and 11 way of doing Audio Processing Objects (APO's as in Equalizer APO).
Install Equalizer APO using the following steps: a) Launch Equalizer APO executable you've downloaded. b) Continue until you reach the APO selection screen as seen bellow, select Capture Devices. tab and in this tab select checkboxes for microphone (s) you want the tool to be installed for, ie. microphones selected are tne ones to be enhanced
To check it's working, set the preamp in the Config.txt file to -99 dB and press save whilst listening to music. You should hear the audio just drop in volume, indicating equalizer APO is working. Reply reply Click the file icon. Since the VST selection screen appears, select the VST file (extension .dll). Only VST 2 is supported. Since there is no bridge function, only VST with the number of bits matching Equalizer APO can be used. We were able to load VST. Please click "Open panel" button. The UI is displayed. Other than that I'd say this is an APO issue, not a Peace issue. To rule this out though head over to C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO\config and do the following: - Open "peace.txt" and copy its contents somewhere, an empty notepad for example, or roughly remember some of the config. - Close the file. - Go into Peace interface and enable a new
Use Equalizer in Groove Music. The equalizer feature is enabled by default. To use it, open Groove Music and click on the “Settings” icon (gear icon) appearing next to your name in the left sidebar. In the settings page, click on the link “Equalizer” under the Playback settings. This action will show you the Equalizer window.

Left-click your device and click the Properties button. Navigate to the Enhancements tab in the Properties window and uncheck the box next to the Disable all enhancements option. Click the OK button and check to see if Equalizer APO works now

If you are using the latest v1.3, you should just stick with default setting unless you are not seeing eqAPO working. The only setting you should mess with SFX/EFX one if and only if you have problems. As for Atmos, it should just work since all it does is take output signal and apply binaural transformation.
Edit: it would seem that Equalizer APO itself is the thing that’s causing the problem. I have no idea how or why. When I have it installed, enabling audio enhancements drastically changes the sound, even when I have APO switched to “off” and all of the bands are flat. After an update it can be a bit harder to get Equalizer APO going again. By reinstalling Equalizer APO and activating it on the target devices in the Configurator usually all is back to normal. But you might need to use one or more troubleshooting options to get Equalizer APO going on a device. But first follow this trouble shooting chapter of ttEi.
