Prague Old Town Hostel ($) Hotel Hastal Prague Old Town ($$) Old Town Square Residence by Emblem ($$$) Alternatively, you can stay in Malá Strana (Lesser Town). This area has a more laidback feel to it and is less crowded than Old Town. It’s also home to the iconic Charles Bridge and many historic monuments.
Save. Olya and I filled 10 days in October, no problem. Do some city walking/exploring, throw in a river cruise, some shopping, a museum, an opera, and a couple of day trips (Kutna Hora and Dresden are exciting day trips), and your week will be gone. Budapest is a bit too far. Report inappropriate content.
It depends on your taste but Italian food is fabulous. I love both Prague and Rome but I think two weeks in Prague is too long. I just spent 4 days there and felt it was enough. Reply
Europe - Prague for a week or Vienna as well - Trying to decide between spending the entire time in Prague or adding Vienna as well. Is a week too long in Prague? Castellanese. Europe. 18. Dec

Vienna is obviously more high-brow and 'perfect' (some say sanitized) while Prague is also huge on beautiful architecture but on its own, slightly shabby way (similar to Budapest). Vienna is also huge on art from all eras so if you're a museum lover go there.

Entrées range $9 to 11 USD with beers in the $2 to 3 USD range. Burgers are extremely popular in Prague, so expect to see them on almost every menu. For breakfast, check out the pancakes at Den Noc, the pastry at Sisters, or the breakfast sandwiches at O´papa . For a good lunch, grab a sandwich at Naše maso.

Should we just spend two days in there, and maybe do two other Weather in Prague in summer can get quite unpredictable. Prepare for warm temperatures but don’t forget long sleeves and pants too, just in case. Obviously, Prague is a great destination that won’t break the bank and it’s very unlikely you’d experience a heat stroke here. So come on over! I was thinking about this all last week, when I chose to make a 25-minute walk home alone, at 11 at night, across Prague. My husband was at home working, and I’d gone out to meet some friends. Rather than take a taxi home, I walked. Since moving to Prague 1 year ago, I now have a very different idea of safety in Prague than I did as a tourist. Don’t cheers without making eye contact! Eye contact is essential when making a toast in Prague. Make sure to look the person in the eye as your glasses clink. If not, you’re doomed to seven years of bad sex! Additionally, don’t cross arms when toasting, and definitely don’t toast with water — it’s considered bad luck.
